4 cups chicken broth
1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
1 cup carrots, diced
1 cup celery, diced
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
In the same pot, add onions, carrots, and celery, sautéing until softened.
Add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a boil.
Add shredded chicken, peas, thyme, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve hot, garnished with crispy turkey bacon.
