Budae Jjigae, also known as Korean Army Stew, is a hearty dish that combines various ingredients for a comforting and flavorful meal.

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 cups kimchi
  • 1 cup tofu, diced
  • 1 cup sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 package ramen noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add kimchi, tofu, sausage, chicken broth, gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the pot.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the ramen noodles and let cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with crispy turkey bacon and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • This stew is highly customizable; add any vegetables you like.
  • For a spicier version, increase the gochujang amount.
