  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil.
  4. Add eggs one by one to the sugar mixture, mixing well.
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the apples and walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bread, you can add a bit more sugar.
  • Feel free to substitute walnuts with pecans or omit them entirely.
