A delicious and easy recipe for baking Strawberry Danish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.
  3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Add sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling.
  7. Mix egg and milk for an egg wash and brush it over the pastries.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter filling, add more sugar to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Feel free to substitute other fruits for strawberries.
