A fun twist on the classic Reuben sandwich, these Reuben Balls are perfect for parties and gatherings. They are paired with a spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce that complements them perfectly!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound corned beef, chopped
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and squeezed
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  4. Fry the Reuben balls in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  5. Serve hot with spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce.

Notes

  • These can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before frying.
