- 1 pound beef tenderloin, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the beef with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet until browned on all sides, then set aside to cool.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté mushrooms and garlic until moisture is evaporated. Allow to cool.
