1 pound chicken breasts
8 ounces penne pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and let rest.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir, scraping the bottom of the skillet.
Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss until well combined and heated through.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
This dish can be topped with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
