- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1 cup heavy cream
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, sugar, honey, butter, salt, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour batter into greased pan and top with sliced almonds.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Whip heavy cream and spread on top of the cooled cake.
