- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, salt, and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
- Combine remaining olive oil, minced garlic, and rosemary. Brush this mixture over the dough.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
