Dauphinoise Potatoes are a rich and creamy dish that pairs perfectly with turkey bacon for a cozy dinner.

  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyere or Parmesan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Slice the potatoes thinly and layer half in the dish.
  4. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop and sprinkle over the first layer of potatoes.
  5. Mix heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme in a bowl.
  6. Pour half the cream mixture over the potatoes and bacon.
  7. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cream mixture.
  8. Top with grated cheese.
  9. Bake for 45-60 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
