  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/4 cup scallions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 sheet nori cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  3. Once cooked, let the rice cool slightly and mix in the rice vinegar.
  4. While the rice cools, season the salmon fillet with soy sauce and sesame oil.
  5. Heat a pan over medium heat and sear the salmon for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Let the salmon rest before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Assemble the bowl by placing rice at the bottom, topped with salmon, avocado, scallions, and nori strips.
  8. Drizzle with sriracha if desired.
