Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyère)
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, egg, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, make the gravy by combining the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
Add the cooked meatballs to the gravy and let simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the meatballs and let it melt before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté the onions until caramelized before adding them to the meat mixture.
