  • 4 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the short ribs on all sides until browned.
  3. Remove the short ribs and set aside. In the same pot, add the onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Stir in the balsamic vinegar, bourbon, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the short ribs to the pot, cover, and place in the oven. Cook for 3 hours or until the meat is tender.
  6. Serve hot, spooning the sauce over the ribs.
