- 4 pounds beef short ribs
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the short ribs on all sides until browned.
- Remove the short ribs and set aside. In the same pot, add the onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the balsamic vinegar, bourbon, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the short ribs to the pot, cover, and place in the oven. Cook for 3 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Serve hot, spooning the sauce over the ribs.
